DRIVE Recommended Hardware Specification

The majority of DRIVE installations are implemented without any need for hardware upgrades but where we are asked for the ideal hardware setup we quote the following hardware spec. We advise you to get your hardware supplier to contact Relate to discuss your infrastructure. We will advise on requirements and in no way take the specs below as the minimum spec for DRIVE.

Notes Microsoft Small Business Server incorporates Microsoft 2003 Server, Exchange Server 2003 and SQL Server 2003. Xeon Processors unlike Pentiums are specifically designed for use in Servers. RAID (Redundant Array of Disks) increases performance and has built in redundancy. Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 include all the latest security patches which will protect you system from outside threats. An adequate backup solution is a necessity for any system but when using SQL Server Databases a solution must be chosen which support specifically backing up database of this kind.
